Burdur Food Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School, students of the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program, successfully crowned their contributions to the scientific research culture this year, signing a table of academic pride. Dr. Instructor Türker ATCALI's academic consultancy has led to a total of 23 TÜBİTAK 2209-A projects being eligible for support; 19 of these projects have been successfully completed. A total of 35 Printed National Congress presentations have been made within the completed projects. This sustainable success graph continues to be the most concrete evidence of our program's application-oriented education vision and our students' scientific curiosity.

A New Peak in Scientific Productivity: 2025/1 Period Success

Our students who have qualified for support with 4 new and original projects in the 2025/1 period of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program have once again raised the bar for academic success.

The projects deemed worthy of support and our research team are as follows:

  1. Time-dependent changes of certain blood markers in neonatal calves
    • Coordinator: Mehmet OKUR | Researcher: Selman ÇENGELCİ
    •
  2. Investigation of Some Blood Enzyme Levels in Diarrheic Calves
    • Coordinator: Seyit TEMİZEL | Researchers: Orçun YILDIRIM, Aybars ZEREN
    •
  3. Comparative Investigation of Serum Mineral Levels in Pneumonic and Healthy Goats
    • Coordinator: Ziynet BALBEY | Researchers: Damla YAKŞİ, Duygu ÖZBEK
    •
  4. Investigation of Certain Mineral Substance Levels at Different Blood Sampling Periods in Calves
    • Coordinator: Musa ÖZDOĞAN | Researchers: Cennet GÜNGÖR, Ekin HARNUBOĞLU, Hatice ÖZCAN
    •

Academic Vision and Scientific Solutions in the Field

These projects we conduct with our students demonstrate that they transform their theoretical knowledge into the competence to develop scientific solutions for current clinical problems in important areas of veterinary health sciences, such as neonatal animal health, metabolic processes in diarrheic calves, and mineral homeostasis in small ruminants.

The total success of 23 projects achieved since 2022 continues to reflect the scientific research capacity of Burdur Food Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School, the understanding of high-standard education, and our students' professional passion.
